Jessica Lee

As Snopes' Senior Assignments Editor, Lee helps lead the newsroom's efforts to combat the country's so-called "infodemic" of dangerous dis(mis)information, championing initiatives to not only enforce the highest standards of journalistic integrity and ethics internally but also to strengthen readers' media literacy skills with public-facing resources. In summer 2022, the Online News Association named Lee a MJ Bear Fellow, an honor awarded to digital journalists under age 30 whose "innovative work represents the best of the industry," and she was elected to serve as a board director on Minnesota's chapter of Society of Professional Journalists. Lee also works seasonally as an adjunct professor at the University of Minnesota, hoping to inspire, or prepare, a new wave of journalists to tackle the evergrowing challenges of tomorrow.
